One of the thrilling activity to do at Arena Hotels is to wake up early, grab a hearty breakfast and embark on a guided snorkeling excursion to watch the Majestic Whale Shark soar the waters with pride and grace in South Ari atoll, 90 minutes’ speed boat ride away from Maafushi. The guide on board explains in-depth information about the whale shark, highlighting its habitat, its life span, why and how it appears on the surface and the proper etiquette to swim with a whale shark. After the exhilarating swim to keep up with the whale shark, you will be served lunch in ‘Dhigurah’ a local island known for its long beach. This bucket list activity will not reach to an end unless you snorkel at other reefs in the area where you will be able to Giant Manta Rays, Multi colored fishes and unbelievably beautiful underwater flaura and  fauna.

EXPLORE VAAVU-ATOLL & REAL BREAK

Explore beyond Male’ Atoll; A Full day Adventure trip to Vaavu Atoll to Explore its beauty. Main highlight of the trip is Snorkeling at Shipwreck famously known as “REAL BREAK” – A semi submerged wreck in Vaavu Atoll. Abandoned ships like these become artificial reef over time attracting marine life and becomes hotspots of biodiversity. Jump and freedive in this location with crystal clear water with a depth of about 3-13 meters. The water is so clean that you can see the whole ship from above. There is a high chance of experience swimming with turtles on this trip. Before heading back, our guides will take you to a picnic island in Vaavu Atoll to have lunch. On the way, guides will be looking for dolphins spinning and enjoying before we end explore beyond the trip.

Experience the thrill of a tiny deserted beach, surrounded by the crystal clear waters and coral reef with the ultimate privacy. Snorkeling in the house reef of the sandbank island is a must try experience. A packed lunch and bottled drinks are served to each guest on the sandbank and are accompanied by our excursion guides throughout the adventure.

Sunset Fishing

Maldives is famous for its underwater beauty, if this is the first time you are in the Maldives, Snorkeling is a must try excursion. There are nearby reefs namely Fish Point and Turtle Point to snorkeling near Dhiffushi. You will not be allowed to touch any marine life or stand on corals as this will damage the environment. If you are snorkeling for the first time or not a good swimmer please inform your guide
